Simpsons Movie!!!

K, well it is close enough that I can make a blog about the movie. I actually am surprised that there are not a few already here.

It looks pretty funny from the trailers that I have seen, I hope that it can catch the magic of the first seasons. The Simpsons has gone downhill in the last few years, hopefully the movie will be able to restart the creativeness of the writers and producers.

I think part of it lies on writing episodes that are based around either a destination that they are going to or the celebrity that is the quest star. They had locations and quest stars in the first seasons but the episode was still based on the relationships within the family. The episode "Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington" had a destination of Washington, but the story revolved around the relationship of Bart and Lisa, and Lisa being letdown by the actions of congressmen. Vs. the episode recently "the Regina Monologues" The family randomly goes to england, meets a bunch of English Celebs and never actually gets around to why they came in first place until they are about to leave.

Very Good, Funny Advertisement

This video advertisement is awesome!

I feel it links common things that occur and redefine them showing the power that is used to cause them could create a lot of energy.

There was a mini series on the Discovery Channel recently called "Planet Earth" that addressed many of the problems that we will face in the future. The one that I found the most interesting was on other sources of renewable energy. One example that I found interesting was a combination solar and wind plant.

I believe that it was in Australia that it was being planned, but instead of the normal solar energy method of converting the solar power via chemical reactions within the solar panels (similar to how plants create energy) this method simply uses the solar energy to heat the air under glass which is then directed towards a chimney tower that contains wind generators.
